Debby Ng sent me this photograph of a Banded Malayan Coral Snake, Calliophis (Maticora) intestinalis, roadkill which she spotted just outside Mandai Track 15 on 23 Septempber 2006. This venomous but inoffensive snake is supposed to be fairly common but is seldom sighted, probably due to its burrowing and nocturnal nature (Lim & Lim, 1992).REFERENCE
